Roland Holten is a Full Professor of Information Systems at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany. He habilitated in Information Systems at the Faculty of Economics, University of Muenster, Germany. Roland holds two Master degrees in Business Administration (Dipl.-Kfm., TU Dortmund University, Germany) and Computer Science (Dipl.-Inform., RWTH Aachen University, Germany), and a Ph.D. in Information Systems (Dr. rer. pol., University of Muenster, Germany). His research interests include IT-mediated communication structures of groups, IS development and modeling. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals like Journal of Information Technology, Information Systems Journal, Information Systems, Journal of the Association of Information Systems, Journal of Database Management, Information Systems and e-Business Management (ISeB), Communications the Association of Information Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, Project Management Journal, and Business & Information Systems Engineering.
